Aspiring mixologists can submit wintry recipes (including ingredients, instructions, garnishes and your contact information) through Palette's Web site. Two winners will be announced Dec. 2 and will have their martinis (with your name incorporated) featured on Palette's martini list. Kind of like seeing your name in lights...
(In the interest of full disclosure, I'll be serving as a judge. Bribes can be sent to 2456...just kidding.)

So what did you think of my "whimsical" cocktail, the Banana Cream Pie Martini, Here's the recipe I submitted:
Recipe: half a banana cut crosswise, small square of frozen cream cheese or butter, maraschino cherry, stick 6" skewer thru the 3, then freeze for a minimu of 1 hour, this will be the stir for the martini, the Martini is made of 1 1/2 oz. of Stoli Vanilla, few drops of Banana 99 to taste, and a quick pour of sweet vermouth, all ingredients shaken with ice, pour martini into glass, the banana skewer is the garnish plus optional whipped cream on top of the banana. For real creativity, the person consuming the drink can be given both the martini and frozen banana separately and told to stir it into the drink?
