Burger and Brew $10 At Liberty Tavern

Liberty Tavern's bacon cheeseburger

Starting today, Clarendon's Liberty Tavern is offering an enticing lunchtime deal: a bacon cheeseburger and a pint of beer for $10.

Chef Liam LaCivita's burger is made with house-ground Pineland Farms organic skirt steak, topped with applewood-smoked bacon and Vermont Cabot cheddar on homemade Amish potato bread. Choose from hand-cut fries with fresh herbs, a salad or red bliss potato salad on the side.

LaCivita reaches for Miller High Life, but you can choose from eight draft choices including Stella Artois, Dale's Pale Ale and Weihenstephaner.

The promotion will run through the winter during lunch hours: Wednesday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to accommodate area football fans.

Weekday lunch is my favorite time to go to Liberty Tavern. Everyone working there has a good time and usually someone from the kitchen or management comes out to chat. This special will definitely bring me back. Thanks for the head's up.
