Sweet Charity's Sugar-Coated Fashions

The city's pastry chefs put on quite a show last night at Sweet Charity, an annual sugar-filled event that raises funds for the Heart of America Foundation’s Books from the Heart program, which provides books for disadvantaged children.

The chocolate fashion show (slideshow above) featured outfits made from candy and chocolate and left the catwalk littered with bits of sugar-coated debris. I particularly liked Brasserie Beck's candy-fringed flapper dress (top photo), inspired by "The Great Gatsby."
