Tom (and others) have given the place mediocre reviews (at best) - I haven't yet been. What are your thoughts?

My jet lag hasn't let me out of the house much yet. So I haven't been in either.

My partner and I went last month. Our biggest complaint was the seating; not unlike Vapiano, the "chairs" are more like foot-stools...backless and uncomfortable.

We both thought the food was a mixed bag. There were dishes we'd order again, but not always the same ones! For instance, he loved the tempura asparagus while I thought it was tasty but way overcooked. (then again, we can't agree on how long green beans should be cooked either)

I'm guessing we'll be back, likely for a quick-ish meal before a movie at E Street or Gallery Place, but neither of us would want to linger on the uncomfortable seating.

I think Ping Pong is a fun place for drinks. The food is like PF Chiang's or something, good but inauthentic. Everything is reasonably priced, so if you aren't thrilled with the food, it is not much of a dissapointment.

Definitely a Happy Hour option.

You know, I have never ever had dim sum before. I think I need to check Ping Pong. Whatever that is in the picture makes my stomach growl.
