Michelle Obama Dishes On Favorite Eateries

Michelle Obama talks to ABC News about what she loves about her new hometown, including a few of her favorite restaurants.

The First Lady gives shout-outs to Spaniard José Andrés as one of her favorite chefs and his Mexican restaurant Oyamel for its tamales, tres leches and margaritas. She says Ben's Chili Bowl is one of her husband's favorites, but she hasn't been (WHAA?). Top Chef alum Spike Mendelsohn's Good Stuff Eatery gets called out as one of her favorite burger places.

She needs to check out Rouge State....maybe one of the best burgers in town.

I'm happy that our First Lady has such great taste, and that our local establishments got this publicity...but I can't help hoping that Oyamel won't be flooded with the tourist hordes that now pack Ben's at peak hours. It's always been popular, but now? Crazy!

Scott - I need to check out Rogue States too!

LG - I know! The line at lunch at Ben's has been regularly wrapped around the corner - insane! Now maybe Oyamel can offer the Michelle Obama menu: tamales, tres leches cake and margaritas ... I definitely think it will be more croweded.
