Chef Five Bites: Rick Cook

Virginia native Rick Cook was tapped by Black Restaurant Group owners Jeff and Barbara Black to head the kitchen at their seafood hot spot BlackSalt last August. Cook worked his way up to executive chef from line cook. Prior to joining BlackSalt, he spent two years at Gottlieb’s Restaurant & Dessert Bar in Savannah, Ga.
