Chef 5 Bites: Peter Smith

Peter Smith, the chef and owner of Penn Quarter's PS 7's,
kicked off his culinary career at the tender age of 14 at the Country
Club of Fairfax. He worked his way up through DC-area kitchens and
attended L'Academie de Cuisine. He met chef Jeff Buben at the Occidental and when Buben left to open Vidalia, Smith went with him. Smith was eventually named executive chef at the James Beard award-winning Vidalia. In 2006, he opened PS 7's. Here's what he likes to eat when he's not in the kitchen.

2. Peanut butter and chocolate shake at Ted's Bulletin

3. Grilled baby octopus at Masa 14

4. Roast pork noodle soup at Full Kee
