P.J. Clarke's Sneak Peek
An outpost of New York institution P.J. Clarke's officially opens today at 1600 K St. NW. The space, the former home of Todd English's Olives, has been completely remodeled with dark wood paneling, political portraits gracing the walls, and the centerpiece, a large glass solarium once owned by Walt Disney.
Chef Jason Brumm is overseeing the menu of classic American fare, including a raw bar, steaks, burgers and a daily rotisserie special.
On the lower level is Sidecar, the restaurant's reservation-only, semi-private club room, with low lighting and a large mural of the Capitol.
