• Michel Richard has announced that his newest restaurant Michel
will open later this month in the Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner (1700
Tysons Blvd.). The chef has tapped Levi Mezick to oversee the menu of
updated classics (sure to have a touch of Richard's whimsy) like crab
coleslaw, escargot spring roll with basil pesto, roulade of foie gras
with lentils, cheese tater tots, steak frites and duck a l’orange. Also
on the menu: Richard's signature burgers (I die for his lobster burger)
and lemon roasted chicken.

Ba Bay, the Vietnamese restaurant
headed to the Hill, has a chef, reports
City Paper's Tim Carman
. Cousins Denise and Khoa Nguyen have hired
Nick Sharpe, who comes from the kitchen at Sonoma (and a few years back, Maestro with Fabio Trabocchi, who is returning
to DC to open Fiola
).
