should start dishing out its signature "Tandisserie" chicken (that's
tandoori meets rotisserie) and casual Indian fare soon at 415 Seventh
St. NW. Diners will choose a naan roll, rice bowl, salad or chaat,
customized with a choice of meats, chutneys and masala sauces.
• Back in September, Missy Frederick reported in the Washington Business Journal that burger joint Rogue States had signed for a second location at 1931 14th St. NW. After a judge ordered the Dupont Circle original to close after a legal battle over burger fumes, the planned 14th Street restaurant will be the only location.
• The wildly popular Red Hook Lobster Pound tweets that a second truck is in the works to meet DC's lobster roll demands.
• Pork Barrel BBQ will open its first restaurant in Del Ray at 2312 Mt. Vernon Ave. early next year.
• The Washington Post looks into the challenges of an ambitious plan to open art galleries, a restaurant and (where the sun don't shine?) a winery underneath Dupont Circle.
