Flying Fish Coffee and Tea Coming To Mt. Pleasant
Mount Pleasant is poised to welcome a new coffee shop to the scene this spring. Flying Fish Coffee and Tea will be located at 3064 Mt. Pleasant St. NW.
Michael Visser tells Metrocurean that his new shop will pour Counter
Culture coffees and all Flying Fish baristas will receive expert
instruction at Counter Culture's local training center. Flying Fish will
source its milk from Pennsylvania's Trickling Springs Creamery, and all
syrups, cocoa and chai mixes will be made in house.
Visser, who has worked at Baked and Wired, Tryst, 1789 and Casa Nonna, says Flying Fish will partner with a local, independent bakery to provide pastries to serve alongside the coffee and teas.
Flying
Fish will seat about 18-20 people and will be open daily. Visser says
the tentative schedule is to open at 7 a.m. on the weekdays, a bit later
on the weekends, and stay open until 7 p.m. most nights.
