Join Metrocurean As A Banh Mi Throwdown Judge

I wanted to tell you ravenous readers last week about Ba Bay's upcoming Banh Mi Throwdown, but it sold out faster than you could say pickled daikon.


The March 14 food fight, benefiting Share Our Strength's Taste of the Nation, will pit Vietnamese sandwiches from Dino, Lyon Hall, Proof, PS 7’s and The Source against one another.


Now there's a second chance to feast on banh mi, raise money to fight
childhood hunger AND sit on the illustrious judging panel, including
yours truly, Washington Post's Tim
Carman and Taste of the Nation Chef Chairman R.J. Cooper.


Here's the deal: Ba Bay is auctioning off two tickets on eBay,
one being a seat on the judges' panel and the other for a friend. The
auction ends Friday, starts at $100 and the winning bid benefits Share
Our Strength.
