The H Street Corridor’s newest addition is the much-anticipated Toki Underground, dishing up ramen and dumplings in a hip space.
The menu is based on chef Erik Yang's family recipes and his experiences working at ramen shops in Taipei.
Also on offer: an extensive list of sakes, Asian microbrews, hand-crafted cocktails, and popular Asian soft drinks.
For late-night stops, Toki intended to open until 3 a.m. Thursday-Saturday and 2 a.m.the rest of the week but reported broth shortages due to the new spot's popularity have kept them closing earlier.
