5 Bites: Aaron Gordon

Aaron Gordon, owner of Red Velvet Cupcakery and TangySweet, is a DC native, born and raised. He founded and operated a Hollywood product placement firm while living in California and moved back to his hometown to open Red Velvet Cupcakery and TangySweet in 2008. He spends his time among store locations in Penn Quarter, Dupont Circle, Reston Town Center and now Clarendon, where he plans to open Rabbit, a new artisanal salad and sandwich restaurant with a Red Velvet counter, this spring.

1. Whole rockfish at Parthenon Restaurant. It's buttery and delicious.

2. Everything on the menu at Rasika, especially the famous crispy spinach (palak chaat)

3. Fried chicken, shrimp and grits at Marvin

4. All desserts and pastries at Estadio. They are killer!

5. Pizza and beer at Pizza Paradiso. Best selection in the city.
