El Centro DF Opens With Cinco de Mayo Party

The deal: During the new taqueria's opening day Cinco de Mayo reception, you'll get unlimited apperitivos, showcasing the restaurant’s Mexican comfort food, for $20. The party runs Thursday, May 5, from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.

The deets: Chef Richard Sandoval, along with chef Kaz Okochi, will toast the opening of El Centro D.F., with a Cinco de Mayo reception open to the public. Try out the new spot's Mexican comfort food for $20. Four of El Centro D.F.’s handcrafted margaritas, plus agave cocktails and 200 different varieties of tequila, will be available for purchase.

The upstairs rooftop will be open for the party, weather permitting, and a Latin DJ will spin tunes.
