Scoop: Food News Round-Up

A look at some recent noteworthy DC dining news...
• Yeah, I was pretty psyched to hear that Italian food emporium Eataly is coming to DC. Partner Joe Bastianich told the Huffington Post that new locations of Eataly are slated for LA and DC. No word yet on when or where we'll be seeing the store open. Having meandered through and dined in the massive NYC location a few times, I'm most excited about the dozen or so mini restaurants within the market. It's a perfect spot for grabbing a quick plate of oysters and a glass of wine, or a plate of pasta.
• Bistrot Le Zinc is officially opening Tuesday at 3714 Macomb St. Read more about the new French spot from former Brasserie Beck chef David Ashwell and former manager John Warner in this previous Metrocurean post.
• UrbanDaddy has some details on the new Blackbyrd Warehouse, a raw bar and live music venue opening this week at 2005 14th St. NW.
• ADC, the Donovan House's chic rooftop pool lounge, is now featuring frozen cocktails through Labor Day. Creations include the Sake Garden made with Pink Grapefruit Belvedere Vodka, muddled cucumber, fresh lemon, lime, ginger and grapefruit juice and the Pink Poodle with Absolut Orient Apple Vodka, cranberry juice, pineapple juice, and citrus juices, garnished with a Becherovka float. Frozen cocktails start at $10 each.
