Chef 5 Bites: Adam Sobel

Chef Adam Sobel took the reins at Bourbon Steak in the Four Seasons this past January. The Long Island native most recently served as executive chef at sustainable seafood advocate and award-winning chef Rick Moonen’s RM Seafood at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

The chef, who started cooking Italian-American dishes with his grandma at age 5, has also worked as part of chef Bradley Ogden’s opening team at Ogden’s eponymous restaurant in Caesar’s Palace, as well as at Restaurant Guy Savoy, also in Vegas.

These are the dishes he turns to when he's not butter-poaching steaks or creating gorgeous architectural vegetable arrangements.

1. The meatball pizza at 2 Amys

2. Crispy pork chop from Ming's

3. Pho Tai Chin at Pho 14

4. Tortilla espanola at Estadio

5. Brisket sandwich at Standard
