Chef Cedric Maupillier will head the kitchen at Mintwood.

Adams Morgan is poised to get a new serious restaurant this fall. Mintwood Place will be the newest project led by Cedric Maupillier, formerly of Central and Medium Rare, where he served as a consulting chef.

Restaurateur Saied Azali, owner of Perry’s right next door, along with his business partner John Cidre and Maupillier, are scheduled to open their new venture early this fall.

Located right around the corner from the street that bears its same name, in what used to be a frozen yogurt shop, the Adams Morgan eatery will offer seasonal American cuisine. Washingtonian has some early menu details.
