Where I've Been + What Was Good

• A silky corn soup dotted with tender slivers of young coconut, followed by a tasting of Border Springs lamb at the bar at Bourbon Steak.
• Pork belly montaditos with pickled shishito peppers and a new list of sherry cocktails at Estadio (try the one with salty peach soda).
• Hot and crispy frites with a glass (or two) of Thibaut-Janisson sparkling wine in Citronelle's lounge.
• A fabulous lobster roll, housemade potato chips with onion dip, at right, and a tropics-transporting cocktail dubbed Hawaii to Martinique (if only it came with an actual plane ticket to either) at a media event in Hank's Oyster Bar's new lounge (see pics of the new space here).
• A gorgeous platter of clams and ground pork and some of the fluffiest fried rice ever during a late evening meal at Full Kee.
• A trip to Vermilion's weekly farm table for a media event. Chef Tony Chittum prepared incredible dishes from featured farm Fields of Athenry, including grass-fed beef carpaccio, lamb head cheese, bone marrow dotted risotto with scallops, squid ink tagliarini with lamb pancetta, and lamb porterhouse. Pastry chef Tiffany MacIsaac ended the night with a top-your-own apple pie bar. Brilliant.
