Chef 5 Bites: Dan O'Brien

Serving up your weekly 5 Bites today is Dan O'Brien,
former executive sous chef at Bibiana and now the chef and co-owner of Seasonal Pantry. The Ninth Street shop sells small-batch products from pickles to pastas (all you readers looking for duck fat, give Dan a call!) as well as prepared foods like chicken pot pie and seasonal soups. On weekend nights, Seasonal Pantry transforms into an intimate supper club, where a multi-course menu with wine runs $90. For details on upcoming dinners, check out the site.

2. Burrata and other antipasto at Obelisk

3. Kingston sandwich (jerk chicken, pineapple salsa, greens, slaw and garlic mayo) from SUNdeVICH

4. Chicken salad at Equinox

5. Cheese pupusas at Rinconcito: The best best place to eat in DC.
