Win A Box Of Naughty Bits Brownies

Who wants chocolate!? How about the very same chocolate that the likes of Brad Pitt, Viola Davis, Meryl Streep and George Clooney may be snacking on in a few weeks?

Metrocurean is pleased to offer one lucky winner a box of decadent Naughty Bits Brownies, the sweet (and slightly naughty) brainchild of local pastry chef Leigh Lambert. Her new brownie business will be in the spotlight come Oscar night — the treats will be stuffed into the “Everybody Wins at the Oscars” nominee bag, given to non-winning nominees in the five major categories.

Leigh, who is also a former Washington Post Food section staffer, offers a line-up of six flavors including the classic, unadorned Mancatcher, the Geisha Girl with crystalized ginger, wasabi and sesame bits, and the Cabana Banana Boy, which boasts toasted coconut, dried bananas and salted macadamia nuts.

Though you really are all winners as the Oscar goodie bags suggests, only one reader will score a box of all six Naughty Bits Brownies flavors. To enter: Leave a comment about your most romantic chocolate experience (keep it G rated, please) by Thursday at 2 p.m., and a winner will be chosen that afternoon.

Good luck! And get your own Naughty Bits online.

After a particularly tough day, my boyfriend surprised me with a frozen hot chocolate. I had mentioned the dessert to him once and was touched that he remembered it.

Our first date was a trip to a hot chocolate place and a long walk. We've been back to that place every year since for our anniversary. It closed this year, so hopefully that doesn't say anything about our relationship!

Some of my favorite dates are when my fiance and I snuggle up to watch a movie and he makes the most delicious white hot chocolate concoction... yum!

Romance = licking the bowl after mixing the batter to make brownies and dabbing a bit on your partner's nose, cheek, lips, etc. then licking it off. I like that my boyfriend and I are always playful.

I had a boyfriend once make me lumpiest, bumpiest chocolate covered strawberries. The chocolate kept falling off, but they made me so happy!

Eating churros y chocolate in Spain. If the combination of warm fried dough, smooth hot chocolate, and the country that gave us Javier Bardem isn't romantic, I don't know what is!

Last summer, my boyfriend brought me a frozen mocha from one of my favorite coffee shops in DC. He drove 2.5 hours with it in a little cooler and it was perfect, the sweetest gift.

Several years ago my boyfriend surprised me and took me to Chocolate Decadence at the Ritz for valentines day. It was awesome! I felt like i had just arrived at Charlie's chocolate factory. After gorging ourselves for too long, my boyfriend left green and sick and we definitely couldn't eat yet alone look at chocolate for a long time after that . . . luckily we're off the wagon again!

A few years ago, I bought my now-wife a chocolate bass (boxed for V-Day with the tagline 'You're a Keeper') because she loves fly fishing. While we weren't looking, my dog ate the fish, foil wrapping and all. We called puppy poison control and they assured us she'd be fine. That is literally my most romantic chocolate experience. She really is a keeper, so I'm not complaining.

My Mom was shocked when I told her that I selected a dark chocolate mousse cake with chocolate covered strawberries and dark chocolate shavings as my wedding cake. Not even white frosting? she asked. But 13 awesome years later, people still talk about how much they loved that cake and my husband buys me a smaller version for my birthday every year!

Enjoying a date at CoCo Sala. Nothing is better than five course dessert!

To me, the most romantic is the everyday. I used to work at Godiva, so I'm used to being surrounded by chocolate, but I love when my boyfriend gets me a special treat for no reason, like a Sparkle Cookie from J.Chocolatier, or some Varlhona baking cocoa from Cocova, and then baking cookies with me.

Making chocolate mousse in the dorm kitchen for my college boyfriend for our first Valentine's together. I served it in wine glasses we swiped from a school event!

Made surprise turtle pecan brownies after a particularly rough day - left no trace of them until dinner was done and relaxation began to commence. The surprise when I brought out brownies and frosty milk was epic - just the treat needed to really help unwind. I got a fantastic kiss!!

After a day of sledding, a few years back, I made my children hot chocolate with whipped cream & marshmallows (because no one should have to choose!) My five year old son asked me - Mommy when I get older, if I marry you will you make me hot chocolate like this everyday? I explained I was already married to daddy (who does not get hot chocolate daily.) He considered this, then eyed his two sisters. If you teach them, I could get married twice.

My high school boyfriend surprised me with a Valentine's Day basket filled with all of my favorite chocolate goodies and a lovely poem. It was extremely thoughtful and something I'll always remember!

Ooh yum, and the name is hysterical!

Most romantic experience had to be our honeymoon in the Greek Islands; specifically, the patio at our cliff-side hotel in Santorini where we ate breakfast overlooking the ocean and watched the most spectacular sunsets I could ever hope to see.

My boyfriend in the 1960s, who is now my husband of forty four years, loved brownies. I made him homemade brownies and they were great. Brownies are still his most favorite birthday dessert.

I add ground red pepper to my brownies. The heat is subtle but creeps up on you. They are delicious. I suppose they could be considered naughty since since the heat is unexpected!

My now husband took me to CoCo Sala for one of our first dates and I knew that he despised sweets and chocolate in particular. The fact that he would suck it up and take me there because he knew I would love it made my heart melt like milk chocolate. I guess that's why I married him. :-)
